Death, the Vamp and his Brother by Lexxie Couper

When it comes down to love or duty, pick a side—and pray your heart survives.
Death exists for one purpose and one purpose only: to sever the life-threads of the living. She does her job with pride and an unwavering commitment. Nothing ruffles her. Until she encounters Patrick Watkins. The Australian lifeguard pushes all her buttons—and makes her tailbone itch like crazy. And when her tailbone itches, it means trouble is brewing. Big trouble.
Ven’s gut tells him that Death is taking aim at his kid brother. He should know—he died and was turned vampire while trying to prevent another failed murder-attempt eighteen years ago. Patrick is meant to do something important in the world, and Ven will do anything to keep him safe. Even take on Death herself. In more ways than one.
As far as Patrick’s concerned, the whole thing is a load of bull. But what if everything Death tells him turns out to be true? How is he expected to save mankind from the worst fate of all—the Apocalypse? Especially when all he can think about is how quickly he’s falling in love with the most feared Horseman of them all…
Warning: This book contains enough heresy to shame the Devil, more scorching sex than one person can handle, Oh, and lots of Australian colloquialism. A bloody lot of Australian colloquialism

Yup I was lucky enough to win this in a contest. WHOO WHO Thank you god for all my useless knowledge for triva. And that's right it's next up for review.Stay tuned. You got a book you want me to review? I'm always open for suggestions!

Just when the darkness seems permanent, fate flips a switch.

Michael Warner has been drifting in a numb haze since his lover was killed by a drunk driver. As the anniversary of the wreck approaches, Michael’s grief grows more suffocating. Yet he must find a way through the maze of pain and secrets to live for their troubled young daughter who struggles with guilt that she survived the crash.

Out of the darkness comes a voice, a lifeline he never expected to find—Rebecca O’Neill, a development executive in the studio where Michael works as an electrician.

Rebecca, a former sitcom celebrity left scarred from a crazed fan’s attack, has retreated from the limelight and from life in general, certain no man can ever get past her disfigurement. The instant sparks between her and Michael, who arrives to help her during a power outage, come as a complete surprise—and so does her uncanny bond with his daughter.

For the first time, all three feel compelled to examine their inner and outer scars in the light of love. But trust is hard to come by, especially when you’re not sure what to believe when you look in the mirror. The scars? Or the truth?

Where can you get yours? here>

Ash Wednesday or Irish No Smoking Day

Today is the start of Ash Wednesday. For all those non-catholics like me I thought we should at least make a note of it.

Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent and occurs forty-six days (forty days not counting Sundays) before Easter. It is a moveable feast, falling on a different date each year because it is dependent on the date of Easter. It can occur as early as 4 February or as late as 10 March.

Now while I was at least aware of Ash Wednesday, this one slipped right by me so lets learn together -

Today is also National No Smoking Day
In the Republic of Ireland, Ash Wednesday is National No Smoking Day. The date was chosen because quitting smoking ties in with giving up luxury for Lent. In the United Kingdom, No Smoking Day was held for the first time on Ash Wednesday 1984, but is now fixed as the second Wednesday in March.

So bring on the feasting and No smoking if you please

Happy Hottie Day

Well I know that today isn't actually a holiday but I'm celebrating anyway. And what are we celebrating? Why Hotties of course. Here are a few of my favorites: Does anyone else see a wet trend going on lol

To start with we have my fav. Criminal Minds hottie Shemar Moore

And then we move on to Taylor L. Now I might not like the Twilight Series but this man here and yes I said man as now he is drool legal is worth watching the movie for !!!!!

And then Hugh, Oh Hugh! Not only is this man so hot it must be a sin. But when he talks I melt. And I hear he's quite the sweet in real life. Drool

See anything you like?

Tor: Viking Master- my choice for the 28 Days of Heart

Sometimes love is sweeter than revenge…

When Tor comes upon the Saxon woman who killed his brother, he takes her as his slave to make her pay for her crime.

Maida is innocent of the murder Tor accuses her of, but until she can convince him of the truth, she must endure his torment.

When the Viking jarl finally realizes his mistake, he also knows he’s fallen deeply in love with Maida. But if he frees her, how can he keep her?

This is my choice for the 28 days of heart that ARe is having. But they have so many to choose from I'm sure everyone will find something they will love.

Stay tuned for my review

Review: Wicked Sexy by R.G. Alexander

My first review-

Please keep in mind that this is my first so please bear with me. Oh and on a side note if posting spoilers please write that at the top so people who haven't read it yet can avert their eyes

First up- Wicked Sexy
by R.G. Alexander

Blurb: Something magic this way comes…
Wicked ³, Book 1
Callie has always known the Abbotts were different. Witches, though they call themselves “Magians”. They are her second family. Harrison Abbott has been her best friend since they were children. Tucker Abbott, her life-long crush. And their brother, Tyghe? A magical pain in her backside.
When the Abbotts need her human perspective to solve a mystery, she doesn’t hesitate. Especially since it means getting everything she ever wanted. A chance to be one of them, to have magic, even if it’s only temporary.
Someone is attacking young women at Triune, a ritual that helps Magians find their perfect threesome—the match that will complete their magic and their hearts. Callie expected to be dazzled by her first glimpse into the Magian world, but the bone-melting desire between her and the Abbott brothers isn’t part of the plan.
Nor is the decades-old secret that makes her the target of a killer…

Warning: Explicit sex, magical dresses, mind-reading rooms and mind-boggling threesomes.

Did I like it? Hell Ya !!!
It was a beautifully woven story of magic, love, and sex so hot I couldn't put down. Now I was a little concerned about the men being brothers but as there is no m/m interaction R.G pulled it off nicely and had me dreaming of a set of Abbott brothers of my own.

Definitely pick it up. You can find it here

Valentine's day is just around the corner. Are you ready?

It's that time again. Do you have your flowers ordered? I for one am not a big fan of flowers. Yes I am a female from the planet earth but the hard reality of it is I have a black thumb even with cut flowers. I don't know what it is but they just seem to wilt when I touch the vase. However I love candles. Hint Hint! Now last year I got flowers in a candle. They were wonderful. And if you are creative you can make it at home. Here's what you will need

- candle in a jar that has a lid
- sticky putty
- a bouquet of fresh flowers
- that green foam stuff for flowers
-a pretty ribbon

Direction- take candle flipping the lid over and putty it down on the top of the candle.Make sure it's secure. Put moist green foam down in the lid. Arrange flowers sticking the into the foam. Finish off by tying a beautiful bow around the jar where the lid meets the jar.
It makes a lovely gift and after the flowers die you still have a great candle.

Do you have any great Valentine idea's?I love to hear them. Hate Valentine's Day well tell me that too then

BTW- Be sure to enter the scavenger hunt @ . It runs til the 14th so hurry
